Fortaleza Blanco Still Strength is a limited-production, additive-free tequila crafted at Tequila Los Abuelos (NOM 1493) in Tequila, Jalisco. Produced using traditional methods that have defined the Sauza family’s tequila-making heritage for generations, it is bottled at 46% ABV (92 proof), allowing the spirit’s natural aromas, texture, and agave character to remain largely unchanged from the still. The tequila is produced from 100% Blue Weber agave grown in the Tequila Valley (Los Valles) of Jalisco. The agaves are slow-cooked in traditional stone and brick ovens, crushed using a tahona, fermented without fibers in wooden tanks (pipones), and double distilled in copper pot stills using deep well water. Rather than reducing the spirit to the standard 40% ABV, Fortaleza Blanco Still Strength is bottled close to its natural distillation proof, delivering a richer mouthfeel, greater aromatic intensity, and a vibrant expression of cooked agave. Produced without additives, it exemplifies Fortaleza’s commitment to traditional tequila production and authenticity.
