Don Rico Tequila Añejo

Overview
Additive-free Añejo tequila crafted from 100% Blue Weber agave and aged in bourbon and French oak wine barrels to create a rich, complex expression with exceptional balance.
Don Rico Añejo is an additive-free, small-batch tequila produced from 100% Blue Weber agave sourced from both the Highlands and Lowlands of Jalisco. Traditional production methods—including slow cooking in brick ovens, roller mill extraction, open-air fermentation with proprietary agave yeast, double distillation, and simple filtration—create a tequila that highlights the natural character of cooked agave while maintaining exceptional balance. The Añejo expression is matured first for three months in American oak bourbon barrels before being transferred to French oak wine barrels for an additional seventeen months. This double-cask maturation develops notes of caramel, vanilla, chocolate, plums, cherries, red berries, citrus, and oak while preserving the tequila’s signature cooked agave character. Produced without additives, Don Rico Añejo reflects the brand’s commitment to traditional craftsmanship, authenticity, and premium quality.
