Additive-free reposado tequila handcrafted at El Pandillo Distillery (NOM 1579), rested in French oak barrels to enhance its Highlands agave character.
General Gorostieta Reposado is handcrafted by Felipe Camarena at El Pandillo Distillery (NOM 1579) using mature Blue Weber agave grown in the Highlands of Jalisco. The agaves are slow-cooked in traditional masonry ovens, crushed using a tahona, fermented in open-air stainless steel tanks without fibers using natural spring water, and double distilled in copper pot stills. The tequila is matured in French oak barrels, adding subtle notes of vanilla, baking spice, and toasted oak while preserving the distillery’s signature agave-forward profile. Produced without additives and bottled at 40% ABV.

How It’s Made
Origin
Distilled at NOM 1579 in Los Altos Southern, Jalisco, Mexico. Agave grown in Jalisco, harvested at 6–8 years.
Cooking & Fermentation
Slow-roasted in traditional masonry ovens. Crushed beneath a stone tahona wheel. Sourced from natural spring water. Fermented in the open air in stainless-steel tanks on agave sugars alone, the agave fibers separated out beforehand.
Distillation & Maturation
Twice distilled. Distilled in copper pot stills. Bottled at 40% abv.
